How exactly did you try to rename the files, using the Inspector, the Multi Renamer, or the name field in the Icon View?

Tried to rename from Inspector pane.

Behavior is the same on the new Ventura OS.

Does that still happen in NeoFinder 8.2?

Seems fixed. Tested in several separate instances. All is good.
