Can I have a local database folder, AND a shared one on a file server?

Q: Can I have both a local NeoFinder database folder with some private catalogs, but still use our large shared database folder on a file server at the same time?

A: Yes, that is possible with a little trick.

First, set up so that your local NeoFinder uses the default, local database folder. That is where you place your private catalog files.
Second, drag an "Alias" of your shared server database folder to your local database folder in the Finder. NeoFinder is able to use Aliases of folders and even catalog files as if they are regular catalog files or catalog folders.

Please note that this does require the NeoFinder Business License.
