Find or Quick Find in Separate Window or folder

I haven't found a way have a Find or Quick Find function in Separate Window of a folder or catalog. I can open a separate window by control-clicking a folder or catalog. I want to open a sub-folder of catalogs or catalog itself and compare the separate window side-by-side with different found set of files in the main window. Filenames may an exact dupe of filenames...need compare starting string of file name of files a different file set. I am missing to do this. The Filter doesn't do what I need
