Why seconds count in the EXIF capture date

Post by neo-admin »

The latest NeoFinder for Mac 8.1 adds the ability to catalog seconds in the EXIF capture date.

All previous versions of NeoFinder and CDFinder had recorded all date and time values only with hour and minute values. And for many years, that was more than sufficient.

But if you take a lot of photos in a small amount of time, say for portrait photography, or sports, you need a finer information about when a photo was taken.

But the buck doesn't stop there.

NeoFinder 8.1 not only catalogs and displays the seconds in the EXIF capture date in the Inspector, but this value can now also be used to rename files:

Also, we have expanded the EXIF Capture Date editor.

Not only can you now edit the EXIF Capture Date seconds there as well, you can now actually shift that EXIF Capture date not only by full hours as before, but also by Minutes and even Seconds. This is important if your camera had only a small time offset when shooting the photos.

Enjoy!
